Well, I am flying back to “sunny” Tacoma and I have to say I am way sick of Math at the moment. I went over 60 pages of math today from the study book on the plane. I can’t believe how much I have forgotten since I took the classes!! I haven’t even started trying to remember calculus yet. AGH!! I have 12 days left of study time.
Spring break is done, done, done, how is it that vacations fly by so fast! (Is it even a vacation if you do work the whole time?) One fabulous outcome of break is that I convinced Budda and Lalo to compete in a sprint triathlon with me. I think we will be “Team Sexy”. T-shirts will have to be made to celebrate the occasion. Lalo and I don’t even have sufficient bikes yet but we are working on finding some. Also I think that about 50% of the time I am swimming I am having a mini panic attack…but I will fix that. The whole breathing thing is a bit tough. Also there was an outbreak of...idk some disease I would rather not acquire, at the water park, and it was transmitted through the pool water!! When I was swimming laps I kept looking over at the little kids and thinking about how much pee was probably in the water that I was trying not to consume. Anyways it is not until June 8th so I have sufficient time to train so that I can kick some booty!
I am hoping that when I land EB (one of my housemates) and I have a ride back to campus from the airport. Her flight gets in around when mine does. We might have to take the bus, it is OK during the day but at night I am not going to lie I am a little terrified. It drops you off in the middle of the sketchiest part of Tacoma ever; it is basically the red light district!! I think freshman year we saw a drug deal there!

Success
The countdown to graduation stands at 8 weeks and two days. The countdown to my teaching exam is two weeks. My main problem is that my last calculus class was about two years ago and most of the math is from way before that. I seem to have early onset memory loss or to have slept through all things math because none of the information stuck. Yesterday I spent 4 hours in Uncommon Grounds (a coffee shop in town with excellent chocolate chip cookies) re-learning math. I didn't even remember the quadratic equation...eek. Actually, it was then that I decided that blogging would be a most excellent plan (so far so good). The most difficult part of the whole process was coming up with a name...Pi in the skyline won and I just hope I still like it tomorrow!
